In winter, everything revolves around tradition: typical flavors, themed days, and dishes that tell the story of the mountains. In summer, our cozy alpine hut is ideal for families and friends, offering a lighter yet always authentic menu: platters, spätzle, canederli, gröstl, and South Tyrolean desserts.
Canederli (bread dumplings)
Soft, flavorful, and comforting: canederli are our mountain treat. A warm embrace that captures the identity we represent. Inspired by the aroma of bread and speck, savor the genuine taste of the Dolomites.
Spiegeleier
Creamy egg yolk, crispy potatoes, and IGP speck come together in a wholesome dish. Simple in appearance only, it is the favorite of those arriving after a hike or a morning on the slopes.
Homemade pasta
Flour, water, and time become the story of a people. The pasta takes shape unhurriedly, gathering and enhancing the flavors of our land – with mushrooms, herbs, and fresh vegetables.

Kaiserschmarrn
There is no holiday in South Tyrol without Kaiserschmarrn: a sweet, fluffy, shredded pancake, lightly caramelized, served with powdered sugar and blueberry jam. A guaranteed delight in every bite.

a taste of the menu
At Piz Arlara, every dish tells the story of mountain tradition and a love for local products. In winter, our menu opens with warm and cold starters: delicate tartares, a selection of cured meats and cheeses, including goat cheeses, crispy bruschetta, and our typical turtres. Soups warm the heart: from the famous goulash soup to canederli in broth, and the aromatic barley soup. Homemade pasta is prepared daily with fresh ingredients and served with wholesome sauces. Our canederli are a must.
Among the main courses, you will find meat specialties: South Tyrolean Gröstl, Wiener schnitzel, flavorful sausages, eggs, and vegetable sides. To end on a sweet note, enjoy freshly prepared apple fritters, warm strudel, linzer tarts, the traditional Germknödel with vanilla sauce, and a variety of daily desserts.
In summer, we also offer tasty daily dishes designed to highlight fresh, seasonal products: local cured meats and cheeses, crisp and colorful salads, homemade pasta, spätzle, canederli, eggs with speck and potatoes, sausages, Wiener schnitzel, and many daily specials. Fritters, strudel, linzer tarts, and daily desserts are also always available.
